Story telling — Rice folklores and legends
Film showing — Rice production videos
Machineries in the fields — Showcase of selected machines that make rice farming easier. Children can touch and ride on the machines for actual “field” experience.
Palayamanan — Children will see an actual rice and vegetable planting field with a modern bahay kubo and plants. They can even plant rice seedlings in the specially prepared rice plots!
Meet and greet Palayman— Palayman, PhilRice’s mascot, will delight children as they meet and greet this humanized rice grain. He represents progressive, modern farmers.
Food products — Tasting of delicious rice-based delicacies and snack
foods from all over the Philippines.
Seeds and varieties — Different colored rices can be seen in this booth
Photo booth — Rice fields will be used in the photo booth. Various farm implements can also be used as props.
Different rice varieties — Children will see for themselves the difference between ipa, bigas, and palay as they see, touch and smell the different forms that rice undergoes before it gets to the dinner table. The different varieties and colors of rice are eye candy for visitors.
Rice mosaic booth — Art activities await exhibit guests! Kids can do their own rice artwork.

Rice coffee booth — Bookworms will love this booth where they can read about rice over a hot cup of rice coffee.

Freedom wall — What’s on your mind? Write them down at the freedom wall.

Rice Recipes in the Philippines
From kakanins to rice wine, this book has all the recipes one can do with rice. It includes provincial delicacies and creative rice-based food products. It’s a must-have book for would-be rice-based food products entrepreneurs.

Aside from the book launch, book reading of Gabby Ghas (for kids) follows at 4-5 pm.
