This is a random activity of ACTS Church encouraging everyone to love thy neighbour as it is the second commandment of God. Neighbour is not literally your neighbour but they can be someone or some random people you meet and bump into everyday. He/she can be your friend, your enemy, your coworker, your boss, your teacher, your cousin, your fruit dealer, your plumber, your dormate, your opponent in taekwondo, etc. So basically, ANYONE. Yes, anyone. You do not only show your love to someone you like but to anyone. No but’s! 🙂

Our relationship with people reflects our relationship with God. So if you are cool with anyone, then you are probably then be cool with God. Like it or not, they are interconnected.

are Christians a bunch of hypocrites?

One of the more common reasons that people ignore the Bible and Christianity is Christians themselves. They are often the most flagrant sinners on God’s green earth. Prisons are full of Christians, bankers regularly write off bad debt incurred by Christians, and it is far too common to meet Christians who are ungodly, unthankful, mean spirited, jealous, liars, conniving, and just plain inconsiderate.

Of course there are people who call themselves Christians who are not—they go into a Church building but have never given their heart to the Lord. However, even Christians who have given their heart to the Lord can be overcome by their weaknesses and sin against God and man. Christ, speaking of his disciples’ failure to obey, commented that, “The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak” (Matt 26:41).

Scripture tells the truth about men’s faults and failures, and this is a reason to believe the Bible, not disbelieve it. Ecclesiastes 7:20 says, “There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins,” and Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Even great Christians who try really hard to be godly cannot escape the weakness of their flesh. The great Apostle Paul wrote, “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do, but what I hate I do” (Rom. 7:15).

A great truth of Christianity is that God saves sinners, and a great blessing of Christianity is that we do not have to be perfect or even close to perfect to be saved. The Bible makes it clear that God saves sinners, not saints: “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom. 5:8). If we had to be holy before we could be saved, it would be like having to take a bath before we could take a shower. Jesus Christ saves the unholy. When unholy sinners do get saved, they still sin (ask any Christian, and he will tell you that is true). Christians should try to be holy, certainly, but they often fail. It is unrealistic (not to mention illogical) for those who are not yet saved to judge God or the Bible because of the behavior of His children (Christians). Instead, if you are unsaved and know a Christian who is living an ungodly lifestyle, it should give you comfort knowing that God will save anyone who comes to Him and asks for salvation—including you.

Christians should try to live exemplary lives, and God commands Christians to not lie, not steal, not commit sexual sins, etc., but that does not mean that any Christian will ever get to the point of perfect obedience. On the other hand, if you are a Christian, you need to be aware that your personal behavior can draw people to Christ or drive them away, and it is very important to the Lord that you walk in a manner that is worthy of your calling as a Christian (Eph. 4:1).

If you are not a Christian and are considering Christianity, but you are “turned off” by Christians who are hypocrites, take comfort in the fact that Jesus Christ was not a hypocrite, but lived a perfect life. A Christian makes Christ, not other Christians, his or her Lord. Also take comfort that Christ does save sinners. Being a disciplined Christian is difficult, and if you become a Christian it will not be long before you fall short of perfection. When that happens to you, you will want others to understand your human weaknesses, and you can be confident that Christ still accepts and loves you.

BEAUTY TIPS

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.

For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.

For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.

For beautiful hair, let a child run his or her fingers through
it once a day.

For poise, walk with the knowledge you’ll never walk alone.

are you struggling with SIN?

Our sinful nature often leads us to commit what’s wrong before God. As christians, we interiorly want to live by the Spirit and not obey to what the flesh tells us to do. As for man and woman, many face or have faced with such sins like sexual immorality(adultery, fornication, masturbation…), lies, theft, pride, greed of money etc and we often find difficult to get out of it and even think that there’s no solution. We want to get out of it, we have the will but not the capacity to do it. When temptation comes we try to resist the devil or our will but we finally loose hold. Paul himself says:

“I do not understand what i do. For what i want to do(good) i do not do, but what i hate i do, i agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me” (Romans 7/15-17)

But Paul end this chapter by simply mentioning Jesus Christ as the solution. You’ve got to know Jesus Christ personally! Its not enough for you to know Him only as your savior, you should not say that all stops at the day you became a christian. No friends, the christian life is a life of discovery!

If you know someone, you’ll not do things that displease Him, right?
So if you know Jesus, you simply won’t do things he hates. The bible says that those who loves God keeps His word. So the first step for you is to start knowing what God expects from you through the word.

So here’s some solution that the bible gives to flees from sin(please read these verses if you’re really interested):

1)Keep His word(Ps119/9, 1 Jn 2/14)
2) Cut what’s wrong (Mat 18/8,9)
3)Watch and pray (Luke 22/46)
4)Live by the Spirit (Gal 5/16)
5) Be where God wants you to be (Prv 4/23/27, 16/17)
6) Tell a strong christian in faith about your struggle ( James 5/16)
7) You must keep in mind where’s your destiny (1 Jn 3/3)

Finally i would suggest you to study the Epistles of Hebrews, i would recommend this book “The Holiest of All” by Dr. Andrew Murray. You’ll discover the deity of Jesus, that he’s our High Priest, that He intercedes for us, you’ll know that heaven is so much better that the pleasures of this world are worthless. You’ll really know whom you’re praying too and your faith will grow because you’ll discover God’s love, power and grace…

what WOMEN don’t know…

“Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don’t want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples from the ground that aren’t as good, but easy…… So the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they’re amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who’s brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.”
